Do you think elementary school children should be allowed to own smart phones?

Modern technology is basically a progression of old innovation, the effect of technology in present day life is unmeasurable, we utilize technology in various ways and in some cases the way we implement different technologies end up hurting our lives or the society we leave in. What we call present day technology is in fact not all that new as a rule. For instance, cell phone technology has developed with years, these days we utilize cell phones which have been a headway of a standard cell phone. A cell phone or smart phone, performs huge numbers of the elements of a PC, ordinarily having a touchscreen interface, Internet get to, and a working framework equipped for running and downloaded applications.

Today, cell phones is largely fulfill most people's needs for a telephones, like the computerized camera and camcorder, GPS route, a media player, clock, news, adding machine, web program, handheld computer game player, electric lamp, compass, an address book, note-taking, advanced informing, an occasion timetable, and so on. Run of the mill cell phones will incorporate at least one of the accompanying sensors: magnetometer, vicinity sensor, gauge, gyrator, or accelerometer. Since 2010, cell phones received coordinated virtual associates, for example, Apple Siri, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Microsoft Cortana, BlackBerry Assistant and Samsung Bixby. Most cell phones created from 2012 ahead have rapid versatile broadband 4G LTE capacity. All in all cellphone is an ultimate device, plus the fact that its handy and easy to use, makes everybody want it,  to assess their needs and wants in their everyday life. Back to the question, do you think elementary school children should be allowed to own smart phones? In these modern time, its normally to have cellphones even at the young age, but giving this chance to have them a smartphones, my lead to different effects on them. Owning a smart phone device at a young age maybe effects their childhood and or maybe develop their minds towards learning in the device itself, but having this present technology deals with a lots of advantages and disadvantages. Giving a elementary children a smartphone at their young age, has underlying effects to their mentality, behavior, personality, creativity and etc. like for instance, having a smartphone can lead to child addictiction, according to LaMotte (2017) child addiction to smartphones can lead them to have a certain anxiety called "Nomophobia" which means "NO MObile PHOnephoBIA" is a 21st-century term for the anxiety of not having the capacity to use your cellphone or other advance gadget. Phone fixation is on the ascent, studies appear, and another investigation discharged Thursday adds to a developing assortment of proof that cell phone and web dependence is hurting our psyches. Having cellphones makes the young people to have dependency to devices which lead them a serious psychological disorder. Their maybe an advantages of a young ones having a cellphones like, this device will be a tool to gave them an added Dimension of Learning, and also for their Homework Help, moreover, For keeping in touch and locating them, for Navigation and lastly for their playtime (Jones, 2013), but all of this cant erase the fact that it can have a big impact to them that can affect their whole life. According to  Wanshel (2014) 90 Percent Of 2-Year-Olds Use Tablets And Smartphones, this result mainly mean that at a young age they are expose in modern gadgets that leads the young ones noticeably dependent to modern gadgets ending up a big effect on their lives, their are some disadvantages of having smart phones in an early age that Wanshel talk about, first is  It can change the child/parent relationship,  It becomes their first "addiction.", It sparks tantrums, It prevents them from sleeping, It affects their ability to learn, It doesn’t allow them to reflect on their actions, It increases the likelihood of mental illness, It can lead to obesity, It makes them aggressive, It encourages social anxiety and etc. Imagine this disadvantages and all, its really not good in having a young ones to have smartphones, aside from this disadvantages, they have immature minds which makes them use a certain devices without their knowledge that they are passing through the lines.

Modern technology isn't bad at all, because this is the primary reason why we live in a simple and easy life, it makes our works  easier and gave our needs and wants in an instant or in the fastest way, but all of this has limitations and cautions. All modern things invented must be owned by the right persons, which I mean, to the persons who have been in the right age and a right mind in operating and using such a device. Young people more specifically to the  elementary school children in my opinion, they must not be allowed to own smart phones, because at their young age, as mentioned above, they don't have the primary knowledge on how to appropriately use cellphone, moreover, at their young age, they must enjoy their childhood days, by having fun outside their house with their batch and learn new things on their own, with this process they're not just having fun but it slowly making them physically active, socially inclined and mentally wiser & alert. Technology device may also be a factor for a child to learn things, but nothing beats to the learnings they got through their own experiences outside of their shelves.
